Kochi, earlier
known as Cochin, is renowned as the Queen
of Arabian Sea. Kochi is situated on the
coast of the Arabian Sea in central Kerala.

Kochi is the Commercial and industrial

On
arrival at Cochin airport / Ernakulam
Railway station, you will be greeted by
our representative and then transfer to
the hotel in Cochin. Afternoon Cochin
sight seeing by boat, visiting Jewish
synagogue, Dutch palace, St. Francis Church,
Fort Kochi Beach, Chineese Fish Nets etc.
Jewish
Synagogue which is 400-years
old is the oldest in the Commonwealth.
The interiors have exquisite hand painted
Chinese tiles and Belgian Chandeliers.
The
Dutch Palace was originally built
by the Portugese. The place has a fine
collection of mural paintings depicting
the scenes from the Hindu epics Mahabharatha
and Ramayana.
St.
Francis Church is the oldest
church built by European in India.On his
3rd visit to Kerala, Vasco da Gama, the
Portugese trader who reached India from
Europe by sea, fell ill and died in Kochi.
He was buried in the St. Francis Church.
A
stroll along the Fort Kochi Beach,
particularly at sunset with the chinese
fishing nets and sailing ships in the
background, is a memorable experience.
The huge, elegant Chinese fishing
nets found here are the only
ones of its kind in India.

After
breakfast, full day is at leisure to enjoy
the beauty of Cochin City by visiting
Willington Island, Hill palace, Kerala
History Museum, Cherai beach and Marine
Drive.
Surrounded
by beautiful backwaters, Willington
Island houses cities best hotels,
buildings and a walkway. It is a major
artificial port in India which serves
as a link between the other seaports.
The
Hill Palace, the official residence
of the Kochi royal family, is today the
largest archaeological museum in Kerala
having oil-paintings, murals, sculptures
in stone and manuscripts, inscriptions,
coins, belongings of the Kochi royal family
and royal furniture including the simhasana
(throne).
Kerala
History Museum is not just a
retelling of the past but is a Light and
Sound show of three-dimensional visuals.
87 figures who shaped the history and
culture of Kerala in the last two thousand
years have been represented here in Light
and Sound Tableaus.
The
Cherai beach another attraction
you have to enjoy, is shallow and calm
and is ideal for swimming & sunbathing.
On the
way back from Cherai beach you can visit
Marine Drive - a picturesque
promenade and a popular hangout for all
who visit the city. Enjoy the end of day
by watching beauty of Vembanad Lake from
contemporarily constructed bridges, the
Rainbow bridge and the Chinese Fishing
Net Bridge.
